Bike Taxis – launching soon!

Blue Bay 2030 Harbour Tour

The bikes will take you on a short trip around Hout Bay harbour. You can hop-on or hop-off at any of the stations along the way. At the moment they are being refurbished but will look amazing!

Blue Bay 2030 has two four seater pedal bikes which we are in the process of refurbishing and plan to offer tours of Hout Bay harbour. Each bike will be operated by a tourist guide as a job creation project. The free tour/donation model has been adopted.

As well as creating employment for at least 2 tourist guides, the harbour tour aims to raise awareness of environmental issues in Hout Bay (including those affecting the local fishing industry) and the Blue Bay 2030 initiaitve. Tourists will be able to see plastic reprocessing in action at the Yacht Club.

Stations on the Hout Bay harbour tour. This is a wonderful way to see a working South African harbour as well as all the ways the Hout Bay community is working together to clean up, reuse and recycle. There are many initiatives in Hout Bay and we wish we could visit them all. No need to book a tour. This is a hop-on / hop-off service – just wave to the driver!
