Do you know your recycle symbol?

Which plastic can I recycle? Is there a valuable plastic? Must I wash my plastic? Who buys plastic?

Answers to these and more questions need to be found, learned and repeated. The following are links you may find helpful. Blue Bay 2030 will continue to find valuable resources to help share the information.

PETCO , the PET Recycling Company, is a company that takes Extended Producer Responsibility (in the industry, we call it EPR) for the end-of-life solution for the PET bottle sector on a collaborative basis, both financially and operationally.

Plastics SA has a huge responsibility to encourage packaging producers to reduce single use plastic and to redesign Packaging to reduce waste generated.

Visit www.plasticsinfo.co.za for detailed information on what is currently being recycled.
